Cherry Blossom Downunder!

Yep you heard it right, a first for me personally, but there appears to be cherry blossom in the Auburn Botanic Gardens for a couple of years. Surprised when I found out, Auburn to me is pretty much massive retail stores, factories and local residents, I didn't even know there was a botanic gardens. The cherry blossom only run for two weeks annually, then I guess the flowers would slowly die off after that, it is around the same time each year so look out for it if your in the area at the time. There is an admission fee for non-local residents of $4. Not a terribly bad price for what its worth, decent sized park of 9.2 hectares, ponds with ducks, geeses and kois. There are many different species of flowers and plants within the garden, there are an abundance of nice grass patches throughout the gardens, perfect for a family picnic, remember to bring a mat, food, booze and some entertainment. Enough of my chatter, on with the photos.

Retro with a twist

We found this in an artsy store that sells clothing and other cool wearable gadgets. Nostalgic type writter to collect customer email address. Not very practical as you can see from the short list and faded black ink, but cool none-the-less.

James, the biro maestro

Check out what James can do with just a biro and his imagination, he was literally painting the whole thing from right to left without any other props in the middle of Pitt Street Sydney. Awesome work and kudos to James.

Best friends, for life

This was so cute, just had to take a snap of it, these boys were waiting outside for their owner to come out. They looked like they were having a good time relaxing.

adidas!

Always loved adidas classic styling since I bought my first black and white pair couple years ago, saw these through a window in Pitt Street Sydney. Can't wait to bring these babies home when the opportunity arises.
